… trees, tress as far as my eyes can see. Who’d a thunk you could find a Christmas Tree farm right here in West Texas? Not too shabby, eh? Last weekend, our little fam loaded up with DooDah & KK in the suburban and took a short, not-so-scenic drive to big Christoval, Texas, where they had hundreds of pine trees growing right up next to almost as many cactus plants – ya don’t see that every day, do ya?
Ardynn and I could hardly wait to jump out of the car and get a better look at the rows ‘n’ rows of pines. Unfortunately, daddy’s allergies wouldn’t allow for us to get a tree for our casa, but it was still fun to check ‘em all out and think about which we’d chop!
Other than playing peek-a-boo behind the hundreds of trees, they also had some adorable farm animals – just adorable enough for the Bean to play with… a mini donkey, a itsy bitsy cow, and a mama lamb. She loved ‘em! We went on a hay ride while sipping on some delicious spiced cider and then I pulled Ardy around in their little red radio flyer. After a nice long visit to the gift shop, we headed over to yummy Hidalgo’s for some nice warm Mexican food… a great way to end an awesome morning. We had so much fun, we declared it as a new family tradition! As you probably expected, mom got several thousand photos, so enjoy!
