I asked daddy last year… & I’ll ask him again…. Don’t they need dentists at the beach?? I am ready to move. now, please. Other than our restless little bean, Ardynn, being the world’s worst traveler, our trip to the beach was picture perfect. If they would’ve let me, I would’ve set up camp & slept out in the sand. Ardynn was not as eager to be a little sand crab. It took her a little bit longer to embrace the weirdness of sand between her tootsies. In fact, after about 10 minutes of the beach on the first day, we lost sight of the little bean for just one second & when we finally spotted her, she had decided to scrap the beach idea all together & was headed back up to the house. We stopped her at the top of the stairs to go up to the boardwalk to our house. What kind of kid doesn’t love the beach?? She’s nutty!
Just about every day, we’d wake up & head down to the ocean after our favorite “yoyo & foote” breakfast on our balcony, as Ardy calls it (aka: yogurt & fruit). We would stay out in the sand ‘n’ sun all morning… make sandwiches for lunch…. and walk back up to the house just in time to fall into bed for a quick nap. After napping, we’d usually clean up & ride our bikes down to seaside for dinner…. or jump into the pool near our house… or put on our pjs and cook something simple. Doesn’t it sound like heaven?? I am just about convinced that heaven is like the beach! It was an especially fun beach trip, because Aunt Terry & Uncle Chanc were also vacationing just a few miles up the road at the same time, so we got to play with them some, too. Such a fun treat. We had a fantabulous time… many thanks to Gingi & Popi for yet another wonderful beach trip. Counting the days until I am back at the water’s edge.
