hitting the slopes with friends

In February, we took a trip with our best family friends, to Ruidoso.  Before we left, mom and dad had a tough time deciding about whether or not to take my sweet little sis, Ardynn.  None of the other “littles” from the other fams were making the trip, so they finally decided to leave her in San Angelo to be spoiled by DooDah, KK, Gingi, & Popi.  After all, if you’ll remember – she is not a huge fan of the snow & could not ski anyway, so I think she was happy with the decision :o)

We stayed in an awesome house with the Brinlees, the Hallmarks, & the Vosburgs.  All of the kiddos had our own room with bunk beds & mattresses all over the floor… it was like a big fat slumber party every night!  We even had the coolest babysitter ever… Talor, who watched us in the evenings with the moms ‘n’ dads went to dinner. 

The skiing was decent… the daddies might’ve liked a little more snow on the slopes, but us kiddos didn’t know much difference.  We went to ski school for the first day of skiing.  I was a wee bit nervous about it, but in the end - I ended up doing pretty darn good!  On the second day, us munchkins got to ski with our daddies & mommies.  (not to worry… my very preggo mommy did not take the slopes with skis… she did, however, run around like crazy on the bunny slope to take photos of everyone).  And to finish off the trip, everyone had a blast on the tubing hills.

It was an amazing trip that will not soon be forgotten… we’re already trying to decide where our next family vacay will be!
