break out the jammies… i am FIVE

Well, it doesn’t seem crazy to me… I’ve been waiting for a whole long year to be five years old! … but from the way people are acting amazed around here, I suppose it’s some big feat or something.  Mommy simply “cannot believe it”.  Anyhoo… either way… it’s true! … on January 4th, 2013 – this girl turned 5 years old.  On that day - - I literally asked mom “when in the world will my friends be here????” about 72 times.  Never again will I suggest a party that starts at 5pm… it was all my little heart could bear to wait ALL DAY for the party to start!

Per my specific request, we celebrated with a GIRLS ONLY pajama party… party colors were to be only my favorites: PURPLE (but of course), pink, and a little bit of blue, too.  We invited my closest bestie girlfriends… ate pizza ‘n’ cupcakes (strawberry ones of course)… had popcorn ‘n’ pink lemonade while watching a couple of must-see Strawberry Shortcake episodes… and got our manicures freshened up!  It was the perfect evening for a PJ party… it snowed on my birthday for the first time since last year!!  yippie!

All in all, it was an over-the-top girlie soiree.  I made it clear that only a few boy were to be invited (Daddy, DooDah, Popi, Uncle BoBo, “Daddy Joe”, & sweet little Trible)…. although the rule:  they HAD TO WEAR pajamas.  I was darn serious about this condition.  So much so, that at Christmas, I gifted daddy, DooDah, & Popi with pjs to wear to my party…. grand idea, eh?  It worked… they all sported their pajamas… see if you can tell who got each pair:  Superman, Snoopy, & Dr. Seuss: One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish… I picked the characters out myself!!

We all had a ball being super girlie goofballs… yea for  being FIVE :o)
