from pedicures.... to crawfish

Holy moly... who knew that it would be so tough for me to find time to post new stuff once our little bundle arrived... being a big sister takes lots of time, you know! (wink, wink!) Anyhoo.. we have not slowed down one bit since my last post, so let me try to update you in less than a million words...

Last week, I got my very first pedicure (many thanks to my mama)... and my daddy LOVES it. He has always had a "thing" for my feet, but I think that he's a wee more obsessed than usual... I love the fact that my toes match mommy's & every time I notice, I make sure than every one hears... "my toes pink & mommy's toes, too". Now... if the weather would just stay warm, so that I could show off my cute pedi with some of my new spring sandals... come on warm!

Daddy and I gave Ardynn her first bottle a couple of weeks ago (see a photo below) and she took it with ZERO trouble at all.. that little munchkin still LOVES to eat, and apparently does not really care where she gets the grub! She is still chugging along... she is "talking" a little bit more these days and smiling a bunch. We have been working to make her room a little more "girly" and I think she likes it. We hung a butterfly mobile over her bed... it used to hang over my bed when I was a wee little tyke, too. Boy does she LOVE to watch those butterflies! Mom and dad said that I loved them when I was little, just like Ardynn!

This past weekend, we had some more visitors... Uncle Joel & Aunt Gena came in from Grapevine to play... it was a great visit! I enjoyed the extra attention, as did little Ardynn! On Saturday, we attended the First Annual Giesecke / Hallmark Crawfish Boil and despite the cool, wet weather - it was a blast! I had such a great time playing with all of my little friends & Ardynn was held even more than normal by just about everyone at the party. She got to "sleep" with her new little buddy, Watson, who is a couple of weeks younger than her... they make a pretty cute couple, if I do saw so myself. There were TONS of crawfish to be eaten. They had those ugly boogers in a huge swimming pool in the front yard before they cooked them & us kiddos could "fish" them out & play with them. I was not super sure about getting too close to the ones that were alive, but once they were cooked... you better believe that I scarfed them down! My favorite food these days is SHRIMP & after those ugly crawfishies are peeled, the meat looks & tastes an awful lot like shrimp, so you can imagine that I was in HEAVEN! We all ate wayyyy too much crawfish & had a ball!

Hope you enjoy these photos... there are some random ones thrown in, but this should give you an idea of what we've been up to over the past couple of weeks. Stay tuned for more!
