Holy Hodgepodge!... I have gotten so far behind, that I know no other way than to just do one big post about the last couple of weeks... so here goes (in no particular order)...
Last weekend, we went to visit one of mom's best buds from Nashville... Erica (also known as "Aunt E" in previous posts from my babyhood). E was visiting a friend in San Antonio, so mom could not stand for her to be in the good 'ole state of Tejas without us seeing her. We drove down and had dinner & brunch with her. She certainly seemed familiar to me, even though I had not seen her in over a year. We had a fantastic time eating & visiting (mom & Erica's favorite pastimes!)
On Monday, we had an evening on the couch with cocoa & snoopy! Mom made some hot chocolate & we curled up on the couch to watch Charlie Brown Christmas. Ardynn's first taste of hot chocolate was both good and bad.... after the initial taste, she was hooked... she wanted to drink mom's whole cup! She looked a bit like a scurrying puppy searching for food as she grabbed mommy's cup in a tizzy. You can imagine how UNHAPPY she was when we made her stop, but you don't have to... mommy got a photo (see below). We didn't peacefully make it through the whole show, but it was a fair attempt & we all had fun.
On Tuesday of this week, we had our weekly playdate at our house. We joined this sweet playgroup a few months back & have really enjoyed getting to know the members that we did not know before. Most of the babies are about Ardynn's age, but my buddies Sydney & Merilee come sometimes, too... so I am not too bored with the crawling & drooling ;o) This week, we decided (last minute) to throw together a small gift exchange, so it was fun watching all of the droolers crinkle the paper & chew on the bows ;o)... they liked their gifts a little bit, too! Me & the big girls got to make some fun ornaments. It was a great way to spend a little Christmastime with friends.
The outdoor photos that you see are from today after church... we were just playing out in our backyard in this very "Christmasy" weather that we are having.... record breaking, I tell you.... for HIGH temps, that is. Hope you enjoy all of these pix & hope that you and your families have a safe, healthy, wonderful, God-filled Christmas week.... blessings from our fam to yours.
