my daddy I had dreamed of – and more. Any doubts from my negative nancy family were squashed as I played like a champ – no tears, no hesitancy…. I rocked! I had to give my other teammates a chance to play, too… otherwise, I wouldn’t have stepped off of the field. Now, it was a chore for Coach Michael & daddy to get me ‘n’ my buddies to let go of each other’s hands to actually play at first … in my words … “sorry, but we just love each other so much.” We also celebrated each and every goal with high fives & dancing … even the goals scored by the opposing team. You can’t accuse us of being sore sports :o) I enjoyed every second & was bummed this past Saturday when we couldn’t play because of the rain.
If you ask me, I’ll tell ya that the snacks at the end of the game were the best part, but coming in a very close second was the GOOOOOAL that I scored. We don’t have a video (shocking – I know) but I had plenty of witnesses to prove that I took that ball down the field – shot – & SCORED! That’s right … just ask any of my many spectators that were there… KK, DooDah, Uncle Brandon, Gingi, Popi, Mommy, or Ardynn (who was my biggest fan, yelling “gooo gooo gooo” from her stroller for the better part of the whole game) … they’ll all tell ya that I did it, I DID IT! Daddy admits that it took every ounce of self restraint his body contains to keep from running out onto the field to scoop me up for a big celebration hug. Instead, he let me run all the way down the field again to give him a big high five … and then sent me right back out onto the field with a pat on my toosh. It was pretty sweet. I am still glowing… Daddy is glowing brighter :o)
