send the brain waves this way...

... because tomorrow is daddy's first day of boards. I am sure you've read my previous posts, talking about how he's always "upstairs studying"... well it'll all pay off tomorrow & Thursday, when he walks in to ace his test!

Even though he doesn't need any luck... I thought it couldn't hurt to ask for all of you to send your brain waves this direction for the next couple of days. Only the smart brain waves, please... we don't need you sending the not-so-smart ones - only the good ones! ha, ha!

Included are a couple of pictures of me bugging daddy while he was trying to study today... you can see me trying to remove his ear-plugs in one of them, so he could hear me screaming... he he he! I am so very proud of you & how hard you've worked, daddy!!! I will let you borrow all of my smart brain cells for the test... mommy always says that I stole all of hers while she was prego, so I've got a few to spare! Break a leg tomorrow & Thursday! ♥x♥x♥x♥

a shoe fetish already?... YES - a shoe fetish!

...yeah, yeah - so shoot me! After all, I am a girl... & if you know my daddy, you know that I had NO CHANCE! My daddy loooves shoes, almost as much as most girls do, so I was destined to appreciate their beauty & usefulness, too!

One of my very favorite pastimes is to drag all of my shoes & other various accessories (hats, bibs, headbands) out of my bottom drawer. Mom has stopped trying to keep me from doing it... after all, it gives her a chance to get something done, as I'll spend half of an hour digging my shoes out of the drawer... velcroing & un-velcroing... trying to put them on my feet... checking out all of the different colors of pleather... carrying them around the house... hitting Keecha with them. Oh - it's all too much fun!

Below is a video of me "trying on" one of my shoes. Gosh - I'm not so good at actually getting them onto my feet yet - but I think I should get an A for effort! Please excuse my messy drawer - mom has also stopped organizing it. Who needs organization?... I have more fun messing up things. You organized people need to live a little ☺...ha!

which is your favorite picture?

Don't you think it's a little presumptuous of my nutty parents to think that they could win some beautiful baby contest with one of my pictures? I certainly do, but as with most things around here... I have no say in the matter. I mean don't get me wrong... $125,000 & being on the cover of some magazine does sound pretty good... but don't you think they'll want a kid that has more hair than her grandpas??? But these crazies are determined to enter me in Regis & Kelly's Beautiful Baby Contest, whether I like it or not!

Just for fun - I thought I would enlist you all for help in the matter. The photo must be recent (within the last month) and it cannot be professionally taken. I've included several pix below... let me know which is your favorite by voting for one of them at the bottom of this post. Then - leave a comment & tell my goofy parents how crazy they are :o). ha!

too many sports... too little time

With my mom feeling out my gymnastics skills lately... daddy decided to see what I could do with a soccer ball. Without much coaching at all... I think I am off to a good start. It must come naturally to me, because all it took was watching dad a little bit! Word on the street is that I might have inherited these skills ... I hear that I have a rock star soccer daddy!?! Is that true?

I will admit - it does not keep my interest for very long. After a couple of kicks, or when the ball rolls out of site - I move on to bigger & better things. I'd rather torment Keecha, climb on some boxes, or splash all of the water out of the dog bowl - - - but kicking the ball for a few seconds is fun anyway. Mom caught just a couple of kicks on video today, so enjoy! You might also notice that I'm walking pretty darn good these days, too. Just ask my mommy... she's out of gas & needs a re-charge by 11am these days!

The other pictures here are from earlier today. Believe it or not - mom was excited by the sunny forty degree temps (as it's been under 30 & snowy/sleety for most of the past week)... so she took me outside to get some fresh air for a few minutes today. Unfortunately, I think that I'm now paying for my mom's braveness... because my nose was RUNNNNNNING like the water faucet this evening. It didn't slow me down any, though - I was wound up like the Energizer Bunny, but my nose does resemble that of a clown's :o)

Ciao for now, peeps!

mom just can't help herself

I am pretty sure that after my last post about gymnastics (see below)... mom just could not wait any longer to try on my new leotard. This precious get-up is also compliments of Mr. Coach Todd. If I do say so myself, I look pretty darn cute in it. The bottoms are still a little saggy, but I am thinking that if I keep eating like I am now - I can grow into it by summer... wadda you think?

So - there is no real story tonight... just sharing a few of the pictures of me in my first gym leo... I was running around the living room & kitchen chasing Keecha, so mom had to be quick to catch these. Hope you like 'em!

PS - she's been working with me on my front rolls... not too much progress yet, but we'll keep you posted!

woot! woot! mia's ONE, too!

I'd like to wish a very happy, happy first birthday do my bestest bestest bestest buddy, Mia! Today was her party & boy was it a BLAST! There were candy jars, fruit, cupcakes, ice cream, & chocolates as far as the eye could see! Mia partied like a champ... she opened a buzzillion presents, ate her big 'ole cupcake cake, mingled with all of her friends, and looked fabulous doing it all (how does she do it?)! I am very glad I did not get left off of the invite list, because this is one party I didn't want to miss! I have included some of the pictures from the party & one from before the party (where you can see I was trying to get a peek at her gift - but mom quickly stopped me - bummer!). As soon as I get more pictures... I'll post the link to the album, so you can see them all!

Mia's sweet Aunt Vicki & Uncle Donald even brought me a birthday gift, too. They are so thoughtful... and they're pretty good present-pickers, I might add! I got a new Sesame Street purse... it has lots of goodies inside... including a tube of hot, red lipstick. I was caking it on my lips all night! Check out the video below to see more of my purse. Thank You, Thank You Aunt V & Uncle D!

Mia - I hope that today was all your little heart desired... they say that we probably won't remember most of our big days, but just for the record... it was a FABULOUS BASH & I am so thankful to be your friend. Welcome to the world of ONE. Wuv you!

me??? - a future gymnast?

People are constantly commenting about or questioning whether or not I'll be a gymnast when I grow up. I have been told that my mommy was a dancer /gymnast & coached gymnastics for lots of years - so I suppose they naturally assume I'll be pushed in that direction (hahaha!).

Well... I'm not sure about what the heck gymnastics is yet, but I sure am fond of the new CVG hoodie that Coach Todd got me for Christmas... it's great for "tumbling" (aka: stumbling) around the house! Coach Todd is a pretty cool guy... I liked him back when I was 3 months old & mom took me up to the gym in San Angelo. He let me "walk" on the beam at his gym & even let me interrupt his team practice to say "hello" to all of the girls. I've included a few pictures of me in my new hoodie & a few from my visit to the gym, too.

I do think it is pretty funny & laugh at mommy when she does handstands in our living room (don't tell her, but daddy says she's not as good as she used to be - tough crowd, eh?).... So, I am guessing that it is a little early to tell if I'll make a good gymnast, but if flexibility or the ability to climb onto and over things are any indication...I've got at least a shot at it. We'll just say - there's a good chance I'll be hittin' that gym just as soon as we're back San Angelo in a few months. If he'll have me, that is :o). You can see from my pictures, I am not afraid of heights & can kick my leg up to my head whenever I so desire. The gracefulness is not quite my forte yet, but... perhaps I can work on it?
