...out came Ardynn Jessee!

I'd like to finally announce to all of you out there in blogworld that my new baby finally arrived... it is a GIRL and her name & stats are...

Ardynn Jessee Lewright
March 9, 2010 ~ 11.22am ~ 6 pounds 11 ounces ~ 19 1/4 inches

Now for some details...
Mom & Dad left about 4.30 on the morning of Tuesday, March 9th to go to the hospital to be induced. They wanted to let me rest a little longer, so DooDah came over & stayed at my house until about 7.30am, when he took me up to see mommy. By the time I got there, mommy was all hooked up to her go-go juice & had started to have some contractions. Bebay, Gingi, and KK got me all dressed up in my "big sis" t-shirt and we...... waited (but not for long).

We all left mom & dad at the hospital so that we could grab a quick lunch. On our way back to the hospital, we got a call from daddy telling us to HURRY, HURRY!! We high-tailed it back to mom's room just in time to give her a super fast hug & scurry out before my little sis made her debut. I suppose everything was happening pretty fast, because we saw mom's doctor come running around the corner & dash into the room.... within a few minutes, little Ardynn Jessee was HERE!!

After they cleaned the baby up a little, daddy came and got me, so that I our little family could have a few minutes together. It was so exciting to see my little baby sister... she finally decided to come "up" from mommy's belly (as I say it.. hehe). Ardynn even brought me a little present... a sweet little doll that says my bedtime prayer. Wasn't it nice of her to think of me on her big day???!!! I was in complete awe of her & wanted to hold her immediately. You can probably tell from the photos that I was beaming with pride & love.

Once we'd had a few minutes together, we let the rest of the family come in to join the party. Everyone loved my baby & wanted to hold her. I was not too happy that they all took her away from me... after all, she is MINE, right!?!? So - I had to share her for a little while, but quickly & quite often demanded that I get to hold her again ;o)

For the next couple of days, mommy and daddy had to stay with "Ardee Jetsee" and the doctors, so I got to stay with Gingi & Popi at nighttime. On Thursday, Ardynn got to come home to see our new house. It has been so much fun playing with her... I am trying my very hardest to be a great big sister. I love to help change her diapers and clothes... I constantly kiss her little head & bring her blankets.... I even make a sad face & try to share my YaYa with her when she cries.... she's tons 'o' fun!

Baby Ardynn & I have gotten lots of fun gifts... people are so generous & almost always think of me when they bring my little sis something... gotta love it! We've also had several visitors... Uncle Mike came to town for a couple of days & it was fantastic to see him. He is one of my favorite visitors, because he'll take me outside to play any time I want ;o) We've made a couple of trips to the park, but other than that... we've pretty much laid low and stayed at home. I did get to go back to Kid's Day Out today... whew it was nice to get out of the house and see some friends for a while!

You'll also see photos from a couple of Ardynn's first baths. She did not so much like the first couple of sponge baths... I think she was kinda cold or something, but when her "b button" (belly button) came off a few days ago, mommy let her take a real bath. She liked that MUCH better & was quite perturbed when we made her get out. Right on, sista... I hate when mom makes me get out of the tub, too!

KK & Gingi have been lifesavers over the past couple of weeks... they have been taking great care of us... doing laundry and cooking for us all. It's so wonderful to be close to them - - they're helping mommy a TON! Many thanks to KK & Gingi!!!!!

OH - one more thing..... my daddy went on a big "airpane" (airplane) to Argentina for a hunting trip last Thursday. He has sent a couple of emails & is having a good time, but I know he's missin' me like mad ;o) (right, Daddio!?). Please say a prayer that daddy & Popi make it home safely later this week! Miss you daddy!

Ok... I think that's enough blabbing for one day. And just so you know... Mommy & I are brainstorming on ideas for a new title/layout for the blog, now that Ardynn has joined our family.... but until we figure it out, I'll keep you folks updated on all of the goings on. See ya soon & enjoy these photos from the past couple of weeks....

here comes my BABY!!!

I wanted to let all of you dedicated readers know that TOMORROW is the day! Mom's due date is today, but there's not much sign of our new little one arriving on his/her own, so she goes into the hospital at 5.00am tomorrow morning to be induced. Hopefully we'll see our new baby by dinnertime (lunchtime if mom gets her way)... ha!

Mom and dad have explained everything to me several times. If you ask me when the baby is coming, I say "soon!".... and I know that when it does come, mom & dad will stay with the "dottors" (doctors) for a couple of days & that I get to stay with KK, DooDah, Gingi, & Popi. Then... we'll bring the baby home to "rocky (rock) it," and "kiss it," and tell it "no tie, baby" (no cry, baby). I am letting on that I am excited about all that is about to happen, but just between you & me.... I am not so sure about all of this ;o) hehehe!

Here are a few photos from last week... I sure am glad that the doctor is going to help get that baby out of mom's belly... I think it might burst like a bubble soon... yikes!

Be back soon with photos!!!

snow & horses... what a week

Let me begin by apologizing for the lack of posts lately... we've moved AGAIN (making the millionth time this year)... and this time it is FOR GOOD! Now that the computer is up & running in our new casa, I thought I'd give you a quick update of the past week.... I don't have a lot of time, as we've got another busy weekend, so forgive me for being short today!

Just after our move, we got a BIG FAT SNOW SURPRISE... 4 whole inches right here in San Angelo, Texas (and I thought we were moving to the desert!?). I watched those flakes fall all morning out our living room window with anticipation of getting out to romp a little. Tons of kiddos in our neighborhood were out playing, but mom was sick with a chest cold & wouldn't really brave the elements with me. I was beginning to think that I'd miss out on the whole event when good 'ole daddy showed up at lunch!!! ;o) He doesn't always get to leave the office, so I certainly lucked out! We tromped around, made snowballs, ate some (clean) snow, ambushed mommy.... I was in heaven & didn't much want to wrap up the lunch hour. What a fun surprise down here in these hot parts of our world (thank goodness for GLOBAL WARMING, eh!?)

Amidst all of the crazy moving, unpacking, & organizing this week, as we race to beat my new bro or sis whose inevitable appearance looms around the corner, we also found time to head to the RODEO with Gingi, Popi, & Bebay! After my good pal, Sydney's, birthday party last night - - we headed to the stock show & rodeo. Oh man - - was I in heaven! Animals galore! Despite mom & dad's worries that I would not make it through the whole show (running several hours past my bedtime)... I was absolutely GLUED to the arena the entire show. I loved watching all of the "hauses" & "baby tauws" (aka: horses & baby cows). I was not a huge fan of the freaky clown, but other than that - I must say that the rodeo was gets an A+. Guess you'll be able to tell by my HUMONGOUS eyes in all of the photos. ;o)

After the show, even at the late hour, dad could not resist taking me through some of the stock show... I got a good look at some fat piggies & some baby goats... I was in heaven! On the way out the gate - we grabbed a big 'ole turkey leg & a funnel cake, just so I could have the whole experience, I suppose. Whoa - it was fantastic!

As an update... mom's latest doctor appointment was yesterday... she has begun to show signs of labor, so my sibling could be here ANY DAY NOW... I can hardly wait! I'll keep you guys posted & will post photos as soon as possible...stay tuned.
